City & County of Honolulu, Ordinance 22-7 (Bill 41) STR Rental Disclosure Form required by Sellers

The Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP) had released this form on March 28th, they did not publish it until April 7th.

Bill 41 (Ordinance 22-7) passed and was signed into law on April 26, 2022.
The law has many changes but the biggest impact to housing is that the STR (short term rental) period was amended from 30 days to 90 days. This means that any property that does not have a NUC (non-conforming use certificate) or is located in the hotel/resort district*, cannot rent to another party for less than 90 days.
*If the AOAO or HOA allows this. Note that Kakaako is under State jurisdiction and State law for STR is 180 days.
